Prom DressesWhen buying prom dresses, girls should keep their everyday style in mind. Even though prom is a time to dress up, if you buy a dress that is drastically different than your own personal style, you won't be comfortable in it. You should choose a prom dress that makes you feel confident. You have many choices in style when it comes to prom dresses. You can choose a long, sleek and sophisticated dress or one that is short, fun and flirty. Let your personality shine through. You don't want to look back at prom pictures years later and wonder who you're looking at. Choose whatever style and colour you like best. Prom dresses can be strapless or have sleeves, be long or short. Black is always classic and popular but you might want to pick your favourite colour and stand out from the crowd. Remember that you might be wearing this dress from late afternoon until the early hours of the morning. You want to be comfortable. Don't try to squeeze into something that doesn't quite fit. You'll regret it pretty fast. You will be standing, sitting and dancing so you'll need to be able to move. Your budget is another consideration. Prom dresses can get quite expensive but they don't have to be. Check out as many stores as you can and look for sales for dresses. You also might be able to borrow a dress, have one made for you, or find a great and original dress at a vintage clothing store. Take an honest friend with you when you
go shopping for your prom dress. They can see angles that you can't
and can tell you what looks good and what doesn't. Look at the dress
from all angles and move around to make sure that it fits right. Also,
shop early so that you have the best selection to choose from. The day
of the prom should be relaxed yet exciting. You should have everything
ready and set so that you can just focus on feeling lovely.
